Hey eveyone. ok so today We started learning this book and as we all know books don't have the most interesting beginings. However, this one dragged us right in. It's divided into topics and the first topic talks about commitment. The author writes about her husband and how he went all the way with his commitment of being a good father, husband, grandfather, and friend. We got out of this that, us, as Jews are commited to a certain way of life- to being a good Jew and servent of Hashem. Of-course it takes time to reach it and small commitments each time. But with everything that we take upon ourselfs we should try to go as far as we can, with whatever we have to reach our potentiol-because that's perferction!

ok, so today we finished the first topic. She talks about her husband's death and how many things she appreciates about him. How he touched so many people and how he died the same way that he lived- blessing and always giving to others.

Today we learned about the importance of reaching out to others and how to make it second nature to help others with selfnesess. We should feel for others, and always try to bring people close to Hashem- and it's our responsability!

today we learned about living a life not only doing things because we should but also out of love. We must use our hearts when doing things and that's whats gonna keep us feeling close to Hashem. It's being sensitive with doing mitzvot and alos being sensitive to people's feelings that we should be very carefull with!

ok so today we learned about the things that Hashem gave us in this world. We are physical beings surounded by physical things. Hashem gave them to us so we can connect to Him or in other words turn them to something spiritual. we cam use them to help us grow and become closer to Hashem. we should look around and use them.

Chapter 1, Committment, pgs 3-10Tonite we learned that a major mitzvah in life is giving all u can in terms of helping ppl 2 b hapier by giving. A life filld with constant kindness would be a life led by rabbi jungreis! He would say, "A long life is not good enough but a good life is long enough."

today we learned about the Torah lessons the author gave and how it changed peoples' outlook on life. Many secular people see Torah learning as a threat- the truth is that it's because it's soo clear to see whats right once you start learning it.

It says that words that come from the heart enter another heart. we are responsible for our fellow Jews. when we see someone who needs to et closer to Hashem we must aid him. Give him a feeling that you care and he'll see it right away- because it's obviouse when things come from our hearts.

so today the author talks about one other thing that is so special about the Jewish nation. it is that we realize that things that happen -good or bad come from Hashem and there is nothing to be angry about. The jewish nation went through so much in their lives and yet still we stand strong with our belief in Hashem and His ways. i know that if really every single Jew would have this in mind- he would have a much happier and calmer life!
