Candle lighting is at 8:11 pm. Shabbos begins 18 minutes later, at 8:29 pm.
Shabbos is over at 9:23 pm, or for those holding the later time, 9:41 pm.
Remember to daven shemoneh esrei and davening for Shabbos which is different than the weekdays. Anyone needing a siddur with Shabbos davening in it, please let me know, and I'll be happy to send you one. Most siddurim should have Shabbos davening in it, look through the table of contents. If you have someone to show you, ask them to show you which parts you should daven. Otherwise, feel free to ask here.
Welcome back from Florida, Aline, Amarell and Irene! We missed you, especially on our blog, and are so happy to have you back on this side of town! We look forward to hearing from you here.
Daniella says hi to everyone but since her computer's down, she can't visit our blog till it's fixed. But she's doing great! Davening shacharis and mincha, learning, being shomer negiah, dressing in skirts, covering her collarbone... the list goes on... we're so proud and we're rooting for you, Daniella!
Girls, keep up the great work and enjoy Shabbos, it's a gift from Heaven - a day to stop running and doing so much, and instead, to relax, spend time with our families and think about where our lives our headed... you all have a lot to be proud of, that's for sure!

here are some of my accomplishments, i'm trying really hard to do everything but it's hard... i wore a big sweatshirt, so it coverd a lot and i read the thing every morning and im shomer =]

Thanks for your comment, Jess - hope your Shabbos was nice! I got back recently from a beautiful bris - Aline's nephew. Mazel Tov!!! The baby's name is Ilay (sp?) and it was so nice to see everyone - Aline, Amarell, Shoshi, Vicky, Karen and Irene... May we only share in simchos.

Yeah, go me! I just finished Shacharis, am wearing a 3/4 sleeve shirt, a skirt, and my shirt covers my collarbone. Neither article of clothing is tight. :)

hey guys its sarah! sorry i never left a post yet ive just been realy busy but now i got the chance to thanks to morah l0l =)so wats new hows evryones summer goin? mines been prrty good...relaxing in the sun...shoppin at the mall...wakin up anytime i want to...its the life l0l not to mention keepin yself spiritualy on track realy keeps my life steady thanks to morah again =) but wat i did recently has just toped it off....i went to a pool party and saw alot of people from shalom. it was so much fun hangin with my 3 gurls again! hehe and now im hangin with morah wat more can i ask for? well i better wrap this up....i miss all u guys even he people saw at the party l0l hopefully i can see u guys again! this contest is amzing and hope evryone can have the strength to keep it going the whole summer. btw morah rox! =)
